We work with both residential and commercial clients to provide high-quality plumbing services, including clearing clogged sinks.
There are sinks in many of the rooms of a typical home. The kitchen sink is often used for meal preparation, dishwashing, and other critical tasks, while the sinks in the bathrooms encourage proper hygiene practices, including hand washing and teeth brushing. Your home might also have a sink in the laundry room for pre-treating and soaking soiled garments or tackling other cleaning tasks. But no matter what you’re using a sink for, the drain should allow for the proper movement of water. Clogged sinks are cause for concern, as they can indicate serious problems.
The drain that’s visible in the sink connects to a pipe, which transports water as it moves out of the faucet. But since pipes aren’t very wide in diameter, they can get clogged very easily. If something moves into the drain that is wider than the pipe, this can create a clog that prevents water from moving through. Although it might be tempting to pour commercial drain cleaner into your sink, doing so can actually create more problems. The corrosive chemicals found in these products have been known to erode pipes, leading to more serious issues in the future.
